Public invited to New Addington leisure centre information event

Residents in New Addington and Fieldway are invited to a special event to hear how their comments have helped shape council plans for the new £25m leisure and community centre.

Changes have been made to the proposals for the multi-million pound facility to incorporate the public’s feedback on the initial plans, and the council is holding an information evening on Monday 14 August, where the public will be able to find out more about them.

The event will take place at New Addington Community Centre between 4.30pm and 7.30pm, and visitors will be able to view the revised proposals, ask questions and make comments, as well as giving formal written feedback.

Councillor Alison Butler, deputy leader and cabinet member for homes, regeneration and planning

“The council is keen to ensure the new leisure and community centre can be used and enjoyed by all. It promises to be a top-of-the-range facility that will enhance local lives.

“We have listened to what local residents have told us and included their feedback into the wider plans and would encourage everybody to go along to the information evening to learn more about the changes and have any resulting questions answered.”
