Visit Croydon’s one-stop shop for a happier and healthier 2018

Making New Year’s resolutions can be daunting, but the JustBe Croydon website (www.justbecroydon.org) has been created to provide residents with information, advice and support to make it easier to ditch unhealthy lifestyle habits and kick-start 2018 with positive intentions.

By taking a short health MoT – at www.justbecroydon.org/health-checker/health-mot/ – residents can assess their health and receive a personalised report containing advice to improve their lifestyle in the new year.

The website is packed with tips to motivate residents to tackle some of the common health challenges many face at the start of the year, such as stopping smoking, drinking less alcohol, losing weight, eating more healthily and being more physically active.

There is also advice on how they can better look after their mental well-being, enabling them to feel happier with their life, as well as information to support healthy sexual relationships.

In addition, posters with a New Year, New You strapline, have been posted around the borough to encourage residents to think about what changes they would like to make in the year ahead, and to visit the JustBe Croydon website for more help and support.

“After those festive treats, the new year is a great time to take stock of your health habits, good or bad.

“The JustBe Croydon website offers residents that extra motivation to start making positive changes to their life to feel happier and healthier in 2018. The information on the website is vital to help tackle obesity, alcohol misuse, smoking prevalence and other common health issues which remain constant across the country.”
