Crystal Palace FC shows its support in Fan Zone
Crystal Palace Football Club added its support to the campaign at the home gain against Watford (which led to a 2:1 win) on 12 December.
The club used its Fan Zone to help promote the campaign, encouraging young people think to about the choices they have – and the consequences of carrying a blade.
Young people from the poster campaign, who also attend the Kicks Community League, appeared in the match day programme and were there on the night to share their personal experiences. Joining them were councillor Alisa Flemming, along with the Palace for Life foundation and people from the council’s youth engagement team and youth offending service.
The Music Relief Foundation (a group working with 11-19 year olds) provided the entertainment on stage, including anti-knife crime rap songs. Even The Crystals showed their support by performing in the Choose Your Future t-shirts.
