Croydon schools deliver once again at A-level

Council leader Councillor Tony Newman has welcomed Croydon students’ strong performance in this week’s A-level results.

The average pass rate in Croydon for this year’s results is 98.1%, which is the same as the national average.

With several schools yet to provide their full A-level results, early data shows that the proportion of Croydon’s students achieving A* or A grades has also risen on last year’s 11% rate. This is against the backdrop of a national drop in these top grades.

Councillor Tony Newman, leader of the council

“I’m very proud of our A-level students for all their hard work and achievements, and these results once again show the excellence of our local schools and their staff.”
