Finalists announced for the 2017 Mayor’s Civic Awards

The finalists for the 2017 Mayor’s Civic Awards have been revealed ahead of next week’s glittering ceremony.

More than 200 nominations were made across ten categories and after careful consideration 25 finalists have been shortlisted for the community awards.

The winners will be announced on Tuesday 17 October at a special ceremony which celebrates the exceptional people who make Croydon a brilliant place for people to live, grow, work and visit.

The finalists for each category at this year’s awards are:

There will also be a special Lifetime Achievement Award presented on the night to a Croydon resident who has devoted many years of outstanding service to the local community and has made a significant contribution to the borough.
