New Addington Christmas lights and Santa hunt competition

FIND ALL THE SANTAS AND WIN A PRIZE

Mums and dads can take their kids on a fun Santa-hunt around shops in New Addington on Saturday (26 November).

Every participating child who finds all the Santas will get a lucky dip prize, and parents walk away with a smart reusable ‘I love New Addington’ shopping bag (while stocks last).

The competition is being run by the New Addington Business Improvement District (BID) and is open all day during normal shopping hours.

To enter first look out for a shop displaying a cheerful Santa card in the window or at the checkout. You can then pick up an entry form when you make a purchase. Use the form to match the participating shops with the numbers on their Santa cards and then hand in completed forms at Burgess Boys Pet Care.

Forms can be handed in any time between Saturday and Monday 28 November, and every correctly completed entry wins a lucky dip prize.

SANTA’S GROTTO

For those wanting to meet Santa ‘in person’ you can pick up a free token to visit his grotto in the Octagon on Saturday 17 December. Tokens are available from participating shops with any single purchase.

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS SWITCH ON EVENTS

As well as a day’s Santa-spotting why not visit the Christmas bazaar at the ACA from 11am until late, join in with carol singing at 4.30pm with the Salvation Army, or have a ride at the fun fair, which is open from noon.

To round off the day stick around the the New Addington Christmas parade 6.15pm, leading to the lights switch on at 6.45pm.
