Spring into action with top tips at shopping centre health extravaganza

Say goodbye to those winter blues and get ready for spring by treating yourself to a wealth of health information and advice at Croydon’s Whitgift Shopping Centre today until Wednesday 14 March.

Shoppers and those out for the day can pick up top tips to feel healthier and happier like losing weight, drinking alcohol sensibly and reducing stress levels.

Croydon Council, Croydon Clinical Commissioning Group, Croydon Health Services and other local health services have joined with the engagement company DFP TV to put on this special event at the shopping centre.

People visiting the event, which is located in the square outside Boots and Sainsbury’s, can find out more information about the online benefits of Croydon’s health website at www.justbecroydon.org

There is also information on other local health services, including Talking Therapies as well as the Health Help Now digital service, which helps residents to understand where they should go for treatment, especially when they need healthcare in a hurry, late at night or at the weekend.

Plus, advice is on offer for anyone interested in a nursing career or joining the London Ambulance Service and the London Learning Consortium and St Christopher’s Hospice are also promoting their services to shoppers.

“The weather is warming up for spring and this is a great time for people to review their health routines to improve their overall wellbeing. The health representatives at The Whitgift Shopping Centre during the next few days can tell you more about how our local health services will support you with fresh ideas to get you feeling fitter in the months ahead.”
