Around 50 street parties are planned across Croydon to mark this year’s Big Lunch weekend on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 June, bringing together friends and neighbours in celebration of their communities.
To make organising street parties as easy and accessible as possible, the council is covering the cost of Traffic Management Orders required for any necessary road closures.
Sitting down to meet people and make new friends can make a real difference to communities and can help combat social isolation. The council wishes all the organisers hosting a Big Lunch party this weekend a fantastic celebration.
