Croydon’s Director of Public Health (DPH) has called on the council, its partners and communities to build on their work together and make Croydon a fairer place when it comes to residents’ health.
With the cold snap hopefully now coming to an end, my thanks to everyone in Croydon who has helped us to stay safe and well during this time.

Works have started on nine new Healthy School Streets which will go live from 23 January. Eligible residents can now apply for exemption permits.
Croydon’s plans to transform its housing services have moved forward with the adoption of a Residents’ Charter and a new, strengthened improvement plan, both developed in partnership with tenants and leaseholders.
With freezing temperatures predicted to continue into early next week, I would ask that we all take care and to look out for each other during the cold snap.
Croydon will hold a special meeting of the council next week, to consider the Section 114 Notice issued by the council’s chief finance officer.
Proposals to launch 10 new HSS schemes early next year were accepted last night (7 December) at a Cabinet meeting.
Council and community warm spaces are open to welcome residents and vulnerable people in need of extra support this winter.
