Croydon Fostering

Local homes needed for Croydon children

Every child deserves to grow up surrounded by the people and places that make them feel safe. For children and young people in Croydon who cannot live with their birth families, staying close to their school, friends, and community can make all the difference. That’s why we urgently need more foster carers right here in the borough.

When children are placed with foster carers outside of Croydon, they can lose the stability of familiar surroundings. Being moved away from friends, extended family, or other positive role models, adds another layer of uncertainty at a time when they need security most. By fostering for Croydon, you help children stay connected to the things that matter most in their lives, giving them the chance to keep their friendships, continue their education at the same school, and remain part of their community.

Why Croydon needs you

We’re calling on our residents, people who have the space, patience, and resilience to open their homes to children who need them. Croydon is one of the most diverse boroughs in London and it’s this diversity that enables us to offer the most suitable homes to children and young people who can’t live with their birth families.

You don’t need to be a superhero to foster, you just need your life experiences, a safe home and bags of compassion to make a difference. Whether you can care for babies, teenagers, sibling groups, or unaccompanied young refugees, your role could be life-changing.
