Croydon will remember those who lost their lives in the Sandilands tram derailment at a civic ceremony to mark the 5th anniversary of the tragedy.
Members of the public are invited to join the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Croydon for the service, which will be held at 11am on Tuesday 9 November at Market Square, Central Parade, New Addington.
More than 60 people were injured in the tragedy and Dane Chinnery, Donald Collett, Robert Huxley, Philip Logan, Dorota Rynkiewicz, Philip Seary and Mark Smith lost their lives when the tram derailed near Sandilands tram stop on 9 November 2016.
The ceremony will begin at 11am when the Mayor of Croydon will lead a period of silence to remember them, before inviting floral tributes to be laid at the memorial plinth installed in honour of those affected by the tragedy.
