Croydon will hold a special meeting of the council next week, to consider the Section 114 Notice issued by the council’s chief finance officer.
The council is required by law to hold a special council meeting within 21 days of the Notice being issued.
The Extraordinary Council Meeting will take place on Monday 12 December at 6.30pm, with a live public webcast. The papers for the meeting have been published on the council’s website.
Councillors will discuss the Section 114 Notice report issued on 22 November, and the council’s response.
Croydon Council has already set out a broad range of actions it is taking to tackle its challenges in its medium term financial strategy, which went before the the council’s cabinet on 30 November.
