Croydon families can now receive early parenting support around the clock thanks to a new partnership between the Council and Anya Healthcare.
The Anya App provides 24/7 support designed to help families during the critical first 1001 days of a child’s life.
Backed by evidence and NHS trusted content, Anya offers practical, personalised support for breastfeeding, infant feeding and early development, making expert help available around the clock from pregnancy through to age two.
Anya’s AI powered app answers questions instantly and connects users to health specialists when needed, backed by NHS trusted information and evidence‑based content.
Anya features interactive LatchAid 3D animations to help new parents understand breastfeeding positioning, hunger cues and how to hold their baby. It includes live webinars and drop‑in sessions with midwives and lactation consultants, plus a rich library of articles and tailored programmes matched to each user’s circumstances and life. Users can also join moderated virtual communities to share experiences and support with others on the same journey.
Anya’s hybrid model handles most queries through AI, with just a few needing specialist support. Around seventy percent of those interactions happen outside usual hours, meaning help is there when families need it most, even at in the early hours of the morning.

The scheme is part of Croydon’s virtual Family Hub offer and is funded by the Department for Education. To access Anya, simply download the app, use your postcode to register and if eligible you will be upgraded to premium access free of charge.
