Young entrepreneurs aged 13-25 are invited to apply for a free market stall in the Whitgift shopping centre on Saturday 24 June.
This will be the third time the Teenage Market has been run in the town, and it’s a chance for young people with a business idea to try out their products on the public.
Running from 9am to 5pm, there will be 12 stalls available, with preference for places going to people living in the borough. Applications from groups or schools and colleges are also welcomed.
The Teenage Market is a fast-growing national initiative that’s transforming town and city centres with the creativity of young people.
The team behind the scheme said: “Our Teenage Market events have proven that giving a free platform to aspiring young entrepreneurs and performers can transform our town and city centres, animate our high streets and revitalise our local markets.”
Some of the stalls already booked will be selling custom made jewellery from The Coco Collection, handmade children’s clothing from Boujie Kids, and bespoke cocktails and mocktails from Coco and Vanilla.
