Jason Perry (CON) has won the vote to be Croydon’s first directly elected mayor in a historic night for the borough.
Jason was declared Croydon Mayor at 4:45am on Saturday 7 May after winning the highest number of votes to secure victory.
Voters headed to the ballot boxes to choose a mayor for Croydon for the first time on Thursday, with an overall turnout of 97457.
Mayor Perry will now be responsible for setting the borough’s priorities and have one of the largest mandates of any elected politician in London.
