Executive Mayor Jason Perry has been re-elected by the people of Croydon, starting a second term focused on restoring financial stability and renewing pride across our borough.
Mayor Perry who holds one of the largest electoral mandates of any politician in London, is responsible for setting the borough’s priorities. After his re-election on Friday 8 May, he was back at his desk this morning, hitting the ground running. In the coming weeks he will set out plans to deliver on his pledges for the next four years.
Mayor Perry has made clear his commitment to building on the progress made during his first term.
Top of the Mayor’s agenda are clean, safe streets; a confident, thriving town centre; stronger local high streets and tougher enforcement measures with zero tolerance approach to crime and antisocial behaviour.
Voter turnout saw 40.99% of eligible residents head to the polls on Thursday 7 May, with Mayor Perry securing the highest number of votes at 35,871.
This marks his second term, following his election in Croydon’s first-ever mayoral contest in 2022.

“I want to say a big thank you to the people of Croydon who have put their faith in me and elected me to serve a second term as Mayor.
“It is an honour to represent this great London borough, with its proud history and bright future. I will continue to work hard for all our residents.
“We have achieved a great deal over the past four years, but there is more to do. I promised to fix our finances, and I will be focused on a fair deal for Croydon residents over the next four years. From cleaner, safer streets to a thriving and confident town centre that is fulfilling its potential, I am determined to deliver change on the issues that matter most to residents.
“In the weeks ahead, I will set out my priorities for the first 100 days of this term. For now, I want to thank residents once again for their support. I will continue to work hard for you to deliver the results Croydon deserves.”
Jason Perry, Executive Mayor of Croydon
