A fantastic newly refurbished sports centre with a new team of staff is set to open to the community.

Monks Hill Sports Centre, Selsdon, will open on 25 April and offers an exciting opportunity for members of the public to use and enjoy its facilities.

Local residents are encouraged to pop along between 10am and 4pm on that day and meet the new team who will be running the centre.

They will be able to tour the facility including the main sports hall, gymnasium, artificial pitch and multi-use games area.

There will be a range of activities taking place and the chance to see the equipment on offer.

Opening hours for community use will be 6pm to 11pm weekdays, 9am to 5pm weekends, and 8am to 11pm school holidays.

This refurbished facility, which will be managed by the council, will give the borough the opportunity to reach key groups and provide important services to residents.

Jo Negrini, the council’s executive director for place, said: “This is a fantastic new centre that we are delighted to be able to open for members of the public to use and enjoy.

“We look forward to seeing lots of people come along for the opening on 25 April, where they will get the chance to meet the new team.”
