The Executive Mayor Jason Perry is leading a campaign to remove abandoned vehicles from Croydon streets.
In the latest operation, five more vehicles were removed from Parchmore Road, building on last month’s initiative targeting abandoned or untaxed vehicles across Thornton Heath, including Livingstone Road and Norbury Road.
Executive Mayor Jason Perry emphasised that this crackdown is a direct response to residents’ concerns.
“We’ve been working hard to address the frustration caused by abandoned vehicles blighting our neighbourhoods. These vehicles not only make driving and parking difficult but also make our streets look neglected.
“This kind of behaviour will no longer be tolerated. It’s one of my key commitments as Mayor to fix the ‘broken windows’ and restore pride in our borough. We are actively targeting hotspots across Croydon and taking decisive action.”

The council, in partnership with the DVLA, is also in the process of removing other identified abandoned vehicles from Croydon streets.
Executive Mayor Perry urged residents to continue reporting any dumped or untaxed vehicles, ensuring the community plays an active role in keeping Croydon’s streets clear.
Residents can report untaxed or abandoned vehicles through the council’s website or via the Love Clean Streets app.
