New website launched for London Road traders

A new website has been launched for traders in London Road to help attract more visitors to the area.

The website at www.londonroadcroydon.co.uk has an interactive map of London Road which displays details of each business.

At the click of a button, you can find places to eat and shop as well as find out about the latest product offers from different shops.

It also advertises community events coming up in the local area, such as the forthcoming London Road Carnival in July.

The website is driven by the businesses of London Road, who have log-ins that enable them to submit content about their shop, whether it’s food recipes, job vacancies, or special offers.

This follows an investment of £3.2m in revitalising the London Road area, as part of the Connected Croydon programme, a partnership between the council and GLA to deliver major improvements to the town centre.

This has seen major public realm works take place since the start of the year, including shop front improvements and new street scenery.

“The new website is a great way of promoting the fantastic traders we have in London Road and encouraging people to visit, whether to shop or go out at night.

“It brings everything that is happening in London Road into one place which can be easily accessed by everyone.

“Businesses can also get involved directly, by logging in and posting details of any events or offers they might be running.”
