The flag at Croydon Town Hall has been lowered as a mark of respect to the police officer who lost his life in the line of duty earlier this morning.
Councillor Tony Newman, leader of the council said: “It is an absolute tragedy for a police officer to lose their life in service to our community. All our thoughts and sympathies are with his family, friends and colleagues at Croydon police.”
