As final preparations get under way for Pride London 2017, the full line-up for Croydon PrideFest can now be revealed.
An exciting array of acts have been secured with the fantastic ‘Topping and Butch’ cabaret act, known for appearances at Edinburgh Festival and on Radio 4, headlining the event, which returns to the borough on Saturday 15 July.
Joining them on the festival stage will be Abbalicious, Bugeye, Christopher Haul, Dorian Reland, Emma Lindars, Miss Sugar Cube (Wayne Allingham), Leah McKenzie, Rainbow Singers Across Borders, Terence Surin and Trans-Siberian March Band.
This year’s event promises to bigger and better than the last and will kick off with the Pride Walking Parade leaving North End and travelling through central Croydon past the town hall to the main festival area in The Queen’s Gardens.
As well as music and cabaret, there will also be vintage and craft stalls, street food and drinks on offer, as well as children’s entertainment.
The free festival, which celebrates the local LGBT+ community will also mark 50 years of progress to equality, in recognition of the law that partially decriminalised homosexuality, which was first introduced in 1967.
