Street Live’s programme of free live outdoor music, dance, sport and street theatre events will continue to keep the High Street jumping throughout July, promising an eclectic range of opportunities for fun in the sun.
Delivered by Croydon council and the Croydon BID, Street Live is transforming the High Street area into a hive of activity for all ages until September, offering something a little different for shoppers, diners and passers-by.
There’ll be no need to queue up in SW19 for a sunny spot to watch all the tennis action, when the Wimbledon Tennis Big Screen comes to the High Street. Admission is free, so pull up a deckchair, get comfy on our grass carpet, and enjoy play from 11:30am – 9pm each day until 15 July.
Performing artists Scanners Inc. will present Inverted Company and Simple Cypher on 21 July, performing dazzling tricks and family-friendly feats of superhuman strength.
In addition on 19 and 26 July there will be further performances from Beats and Eats, and CROWD returns on 20 July to transform St George’s Walk into an open-air live music venue with bars and street food.

Matthew Sims, chief executive of Croydon BID said: “We are delighted to bring Wimbledon Live to Croydon High Street as part of the Street Live Campaign, offering another destination to enjoy all of the summers sport fever for all ages. From Federer, Nadal, Djokovic and Murray to Sharapova, Williams, Konta and Watson the screen will show it all. Strawberries and cream will be available to purchase as well as Pimms and a selection of other refreshments and bites to eat.”
