Household recycling and rubbish collections will be changing for three weeks over the Christmas period.

Collections will be delayed by a few days so crews can spend time with their families and friends over the festive period.

A full list of revised collection dates is included in the table below and is also available online and in the Christmas edition of Your Croydon magazine, which is due to be delivered soon.

Croydon’s recycling rate has rocketed by nearly 10 per cent since the introduction of new recycling and refuse bins last year and there are a host of opportunities to keep this momentum over the Christmas period.

You can recycle card, and paper packaging that can be torn up. Leftover food can also be recycled in a food caddy.

“I’m delighted to see Croydon’s recycling rate increasing and there are plenty of opportunities over Christmas to keep this up.

“I hope everyone enjoys the festive period, no matter what they have planned and please make sure you know the changed collection dates.”
