Top preference primary schools for Croydon parents

The vast majority of Croydon parents – 87 per cent – have been offered a place for their child at their first preference primary school for the second year running.

An even higher figure – 97 per cent – were offered a place at one of their top three preferred primary schools.

Primary school admissions offers for September 2018 were emailed to parents last night (16 April).

All offers must be accepted or declined by 30 April and this can be done at http://www.eadmissions.org.uk

Also for the second year running, 100 per cent of applicants used the online admissions service.

David Butler, Croydon Council’s director for education and youth engagement, said: “We’re delighted to be able to offer the vast majority of parents a place for their child at their first preference primary school, and many more a place at one of their top three. It’s also good to see 100 per cent of primary school applicants are using the online admissions service, showing that the system is working for families. It’s really important to accept your child’s offer in order to secure their place, so please make sure you do so in time for the deadline of 30 April.”
