Croydon parents and carers have received the news today (Wednesday 16 April) of which primary school their child has been allocated a reception place for in September.

The percentage of parents or carers receiving one of their top three preference primary schools is 96.5%, whilst 86.7% of children received their first choice.

A total of 4,309 applications were received this year and all applications were made online.

Parents and carers must accept or decline their offer of a primary school place by Wednesday 30 April 2025.

For details on how to accept a school place, or how to appeal, see the council website. Information on schools that have remaining places is also available here.

“It is great news that all our residents who applied on time have now received a place for their child. It is even better that more than 86% have been offered their first choice, in line with last year.

“We are working to make Croydon a place where all children and young people can fulfil their potential at our local schools. I wish children the very best for starting reception in September.”

Jason Perry, Executive Mayor of Croydon
