Hundreds of bags of litter cleared by Don’t Mess With Croydon – Take Pride volunteers

Don’t Mess With Croydon – Take Pride has gone from strength to strength with hundreds of people volunteering to help clean up their communities.

Street Champions, supported by Croydon Council, have organised 19 litter picks over the past month, coinciding with the Great British Spring Clean. Collectively they have helped clear 300 bags of rubbish.

During the month eight new Street Champions signed up to help organise litter picks in the borough throughout the year, bringing the total up to 364.

A total of 215 people joined the litter picks which took place across the borough.

Don’t Mess With Croydon – Take Pride has been running since 2015 and has organised hundreds of litter picks with the help of dedicated Street Champions.

Street Champions are supported by Croydon Council to organise litter picks throughout the year. The council provides equipment and support and helps to clear away the collected waste.
