Get involved in planning for the future of Croydon homes

Croydon is asking communities to get involved as it plans future housing services – from providing homes to meet local need, to raising living standards, listening to residents and providing good customer care.

A short survey has opened today asking tenants, leaseholders, staff and community partners to tell us what they think of our proposed priorities over the next five years. Responses will help to shape Croydon’s Housing Strategy 2023-2028.

This will build on the extensive work already under way in Croydon to transform council homes, listen to residents and make sure they are provided with good core services.

Croydon’s strategy will also set out how the council will work with landlords to make sure private rented properties are safe, secure and energy efficient, and kept to proper standards.

Also how it will work with developers, investors and housing associations – to make sure that there is a good supply of affordable homes for those that need them.

Jason Perry“I pledged to raise standards in homes and listen to local people, so I am really keen to hear from residents and partners about their priorities for housing in Croydon. This is your chance to help set our direction and be part of our plans to make sure everyone – whether they are a council tenant or renting in the private sector – has a warm, safe dry home that they can be proud to call home”.

Jason Perry, Executive Mayor of Croydon
